The Daffodils
"I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze."
Wait until you see a bank of early daffodils in England and then you'll get even more the joy and expanding of horizons and optimism articulated in this poem. It makes a meaningful pair with your other post of the month, the twin poles of existence summed up in a few quoted lines.
